Fire-Catzilla has awakened.

Yes! Glad to be back at it with my second independent toy release. Now here’s a toy I’ve wanted to create for a long time: Fire-Catzilla. A character created in a painting for my “Death and Taxes” art show back in 2009. I’ve always thought of Fire-Catzilla as Ringo Bear’s foe or foil. When Ringo is wreaking havoc on a major metropolis and all resources are depleted, Fire-Catzilla awakens from its ancient slumber to restore balance to the cosmos once again. While I was working away designing this figure the first thing I wanted to do was create a new flame-piece – giving it more of a forceful, electric and Godzilla-like shape. And while I’m at it lets make it a word bubble – having it say something unexpectedly cute in Japanese across the front. With the help of a few of my friends in Japan we came up with ギャオォー, which is a cute way Japanese children imitate Godzilla’s roar. Let’s hope Fire-Catzilla’s bite is bigger than its bark if it has to take down Ringo Bear in the ring. You know, it would be really fun to animate an epic kaiju battle between Ringo and Fire-Catzilla. Joy Comes to Morning 2?

Anyway, enough with the rambling blog post. Here’s our press release with all the Fire-Catzilla info.
Thanks again for all your love and support!
